In a fast-changing, highly competitive landscape, Gehring is collaborating to innovate engine and transmission manufacturers, to help achieve greater sustainability in the automotive industry.

And we’re seeing results, especially crucial and relevant in the automotive sector, as improved surface finish of cylinder lining in engines lead to lower emissions and vehicles become sustainable through their complete life cycle. Gehring recently became a member of LIFT, operated by the American Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute (ALMMII) which is a public-private partnership to develop and deploy advanced lightweight materials manufacturing technologies.
