Girls' Day 2018 at Gehring

posted on April 26, 2018

Today at Gehring Girls' Day 2018 took place. After some safety instruction for the 13 participants, we went to the canteen for breakfast together. Then the young ladies were led through the factory. From our Gehring measuring room to technology development - the girls got comprehensive insights into the company and our honing machines.

Afterwards, we introduced the girls to the apprenticeship of industrial mechanics. The apprentices set up some working stations for the girls in the training workshop. For example the girls had to build up a pneumatic control. In some games of skills, the girls were able to prove their spatial and logical ability to think. Another highlight was the joint rotating of the Esslinger Tower on the CNC machine.

The Girls' Day also took place today with our colleagues in Naumburg. The girls were also informed about the different apprenticeships at Gehring. However, the guys were also able to inform themselves about career posibillities at Gehring Naumburg. Girls 'and Boys' Day went hand in hand in Naumburg!

We hope all participants had fun! The Gehring team is already looking forward to attending the event next year and says thank you to the apprentice trainers and trainees for their commitment!
